AI wrappers are here to stay + I got news!
Grab a coffee and let's talk SaaS together.
Hey, hey - it’s Mike! 😁
Grab a coffee, today, we’re talking AI, opportunities, cold emailing, and…
…I have big news at the end!
#1 We overcomplicate business opportunities too much.
If I learned one thing by looking at my own products and other successful people’s, it’s that the best cash-flowing businesses aren’t revolutionary new ideas.
They’re just solutions repackaged into something native for a specific audience.
Take Notion: they did not reinvent the way we work with docs, they just optimized the workflow for tech-savvy people.
Often, it’s really as simple as
Take “X”, but make it better to use for “Y” people.
#2 Quick rant about cold emailing
We all h*te them, right? Well, because the majority is actually sh*t, the more we can appreciate the really good ones. Just as with commercials and ads, right?
To me, the key is “providing value”.
Take this cold email I got the other day:

This is a masterpiece. It’s short, to the point, and has instant value (basically giving me a free lead) and, on top of that, it also instantly shows the value of his product without hard-pitching me.
We can all learn from this.
#3 My thoughts on AI wrappers
“Wrapper” isn’t a dirty word.
It means a product build on top of a technology.
Startups that focus on the opposite are far less durable.
I’m looking forward to seeding more simple wrappers that consumers love but overly intellectual VCs hate.
